Morgan Powers
Morgan Powers is a senior from Shorewood, Illinois, dancing at Forte Arts Center for 13 years. She is graduating in May with her BFA in Dance and BBA in Marketing. In her time at Iowa, she has been a part of numerous concerts such as Dance Gala, Grad Concerts, performing in the restaging of “Panorama” along side the Martha Graham Dance Company, as well as touring while in the University of Iowa Dance Company. Morgan is also a member of the Undergraduate Dance Organization and she is the Marketing Associate for the Department of Dance. While dancing at the University of Iowa she has had the pleasure of working with faculty Armando Duarte, Kristin Marrs, Mindy Myers, Kieron Dwayne Sargeant, Tony Orrico, and Eloy Barragán as well as graduate students Todd Rhoades and Mariana Tejeda. Morgan has been able to work with her faculty advisor, Eloy Barragán, throughout the process of creating this piece. She is thankful for his guidance, and thankful for the commitment, collaboration, and willingness to take on this project that her cast has had in creating this piece. She is looking forward to everyone seeing her piece as well as her fellow BFAs at the University of Iowa BFA Concert.
