Kim is a third-year MFA in design candidate studying lighting and media at the University of Iowa. Completed an internship in Lighting with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and graduated from Southern Oregon University with a BFA in Theatre in 2012.  Kim worked as a Lighting Apprentice with Celebrity Cruises, then as Assistant Manager Production – Lighting with P&O Cruises, Carnival UK.  They also freelanced in the SF Bay area as a Lighting Designer, Assistant LD, and Electrician.  In 2019 completed a corporate design Fellowship with Rock The House in Cleveland.  Kim’s ambitions as a designer are involved with the development of our human potential, protecting the sovereignty of every being on this planet, and learning from the past and our elders to design a visionary future.
