Biography

Kendra McDaniel is a BFA Dance Senior in the University of Iowa Dance Department. She is originally from Bondurant, Iowa, and trained at Dance Vision prior to coming to college. During her time at Iowa, she has participated in many performances and festivals such as Dance Gala, Graduate Thesis, American College Dance Association (ACDA) , Iowa Dance Festival (IDF), Trifecta Dance Festival, and was a part of the University of Iowa Dance Company for the 2022-2023 season. Over the past four years, Kendra has had the honor to work with many incredible faculty and graduate students including; Armando Duarte, Melinda Myers, Eloy Barragán, Tony Orrico, Kieron Dwayne Sargeant, Todd Rhoades, Katie Phelan, and many more. She also had the privilege of working with Virginie Mecene in the restaging of “Panorama” alongside the Martha Graham Dance Company. After graduation, Kendra plans to continue her dance career at Visceral Dance Chicago. She is thankful to have the opportunity to perform one last time at Iowa and can’t wait to debut her first work “Planes of Existence” for you all in this BFA show.
