Kaelen Novak is a theatrical and experimental designer based in Iowa City, who focuses on expanding the bounds of design for live performance and how it interacts with new and emerging technologies such as motion capture, virtual reality and similar. Recent projects include being Creative Director for ARatorio for the Mis-Remembered at the University of Iowa, Costume Designer for Tosca and Charlie and the Wolf for Cedar Rapids Opera, and Scenic and Projection Designer for Bronte: The World Without at Riverside Theatre. They continue to travel the country creating art and teaching about the wonders of live performance.
