Hayden Jensen is a second-year BFA student at the University of Iowa and this is her first year with the UI Dance Company. Hayden is from Clive, Iowa, and attended Dowling Catholic High School. Before attending the university, she trained at the School of Classical Ballet and Dance under Lori Groters and Serkan Usta in West Des Moines, Iowa, and danced with Ballet Des Moines in their pre-professional company under the artistic direction of Serkan Usta. While at the university, Hayden has performed in Dance Gala 2021 in Armando Duarte's piece On the Verge and in Hancher Illuminated 2021. She is looking forward to touring with the company, as well as representing the university at the American College Dance Association conference in Missouri in early March. Hayden would like to thank the company directors, Stephanie Miracle and Alex Bush, for this amazing opportunity, as well as thank her family who have supported all her years of dance.
