Ellie Daley
Ellie Daley (she/they) is a Filipino-American choreographer, performer, and educator who will soon be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Rooted in a practice of care, their work investigates memory, identity, and queerness, emphasizing the body as a space of transformation and belonging. Ellie’s creative process is influenced by theater practices, contemporary dance techniques, and improvisational methods.
As a performer, Ellie has contributed to works by artists including Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Martha Graham, Aaron Samuel Davis, Danielle Russo, Ja’Moon Jones, Jennifer Kayle, Laila Franklin and others. Most recently, Ellie is performing with The Foundry, a San Francisco-based dance company directed by Alex Ketley.
In addition to choreography and performance, Ellie engages deeply with digital media, a practice influenced by her role as Assistant Media Lab Coordinator for the Hollins University MFA Dance Program (2022–2023). They are currently developing a site-specific architectural projection mapping piece, premiering at the University of Iowa in Spring 2025.
