Camryn Nease

Biography
Camryn Nease is a performer, dance educator, and choreographer from Columbus, Ohio who began her training at Dublin Dance Centre & Gymnastics (DDC&G). She started her teaching career at the age of sixteen at DDC&G. She then received a B.F.A. in Dance from The Ohio State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2022.
Over the course of her dance training, Camryn has worked with choreographers and dance professionals such as Gamal Brown, Joshua Manculich, Martine Clark, Donald Isom, Crystal Michelle Perkins, Edward Taketa, Gregory King, Duane Lee Holland Jr., and Cassidy Noblett. She also had the opportunity to train and teach in Bangkok, Thailand as a member of East Meets West at Kent State University in January of 2019.
After graduating from OSU, she danced professionally in Columbus, starting with Hixon Dance and Whirlwind Dance Company in the summer of 2022. In July of 2023, she was a Rising Choreographer at the Sarasota Contemporary Dance Summer Intensive under the guidance of Leymis Bolaños Wilmot. In her two seasons with Whirlwind Dance Company, Camryn taught at multiple workshops and pop-up classes, allowing her to work with dancers from all over the country.
In June of 2024, she participated in Whirlwind’s Summer Residency, an expedited performance experience with nine days of rehearsal to produce two shows at The Well Center for Movement and Dance. Outside of the dance studio, Camryn has been a Pure Barre instructor since June of 2023.
Camryn is now studying at the University of Iowa in pursuit of an M.F.A. in Dance as a recipient of the Iowa Arts Fellowship.
