Ashley McKim is a senior at the University of Iowa, where she is earning her BFA in Dance and BA in History. She is originally from Bettendorf, Iowa, where she trained and competed with Studio A Dance Company. At the University of Iowa, Ashley has performed in Dance Gala 2021, 2022, and 2023, Faculty/Graduate Concert 2023, ACDA 2022 and 2024, and she toured with UIDC 2022. She has had the pleasure of working with faculty choreographers Armando Duarte, Kristin Marrs, Stephanie Miracle, Alex Bush, Eloy Barragán, Jennifer Kayle, and Kieron Dwayne Sargent. Ashley also worked with guest choreographers Thomas DeFrantz and Aaron Samuel Davis, as well as recently performing a restaging of Martha Graham's "Panorama." Outside of performing, she has also taught for the University of Iowa Youth Ballet since 2021. Ashley is thankful for the University of Iowa Department of Dance and her BFA class for creating a supportive and positive environment.
