Maddie Bulman
Maddie Bulman is a 4th year BFA in Dance on the Pre-Physical Therapy and Dance Pedagogy Tracks at Iowa. She is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Before coming to Iowa, Maddie went to DanceNation and then the Dance Academy of Cedar Rapids, where she competed, attended conventions, and attended many intensives. Maddie trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern. Maddie was also a part of the Jefferson Varsity Dance Team for 4 years and was captain her senior year.
While at Iowa, Maddie has been a part of the University of Iowa Dance Company under the direction of Melinda Jean Meyers and Todd Rhoades, Graduate and Undergraduate Concerts, COCO Dance Festival, Independent projects, Todd Rhoades’s Thesis, Dance Medicine Research, Dance Gala, and performed in Panorama which was apart of the Graham 100 Concert at Hancher Auditorium. Maddie has performed in works by Aaron Samuel Davis, Jennifer Kayle, Melinda Jean Meyers, Todd Rhoades, Brady Van Patten, Mikey Rioux, Tony Orrico, and Emmalee Hallinan. She will also be in works by Camryn Nease and Emily Culbreath.
Maddie Bulman is part of the Undergraduate Dance Organization and has served as Peer Mentorship Officer for 3 years. Maddie is currently a backup dancer for Alisabeth Von Presley and tours in the summer with her and her crew. She has performed in her Christmas show, Christmas in the Key of A, for 2 years now. Post graduation Maddie will attend a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program while also continuing to immerse herself as a dance practitioner.
