Dancer performing behind windows, surrounded by colored lights

On October 15, 2020, University of Iowa Department of Dance students performed in a magical, other-worldly display of installations throughout Hancher Auditorium. Dancers performed inside the building, behind walls of windows or large open garage doors, making the dance visible to socially-distanced audiences outside as they made their way around the perimeter of the building.

Thank you to our friends at Hancher Auditorium and Quixotic Fusion for creating this amazing experience and opportunity to perform live! Our presenters were diligent about our safety and the safety of those in attendance. We are excited to share this experience here, beyond the limited, socially-distanced audiences who were able to attend Hancher Illuminated live.
