As a professional dancer for 18 years, Britt Juleen spent most of her career in Europe at the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and Germany’s SemperOper Ballet’s exquisite Opera House. She also performed with Ballet Arizona, Ballet Gamonet in Miami, Florida, and the contemporary dance companies iMEE, Jacoby&Pronk, and SFDanceworks. Britt studied at the School of American Ballet, New World School of the Arts, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and Houston Ballet Academy. She has studied Somatic Movement Education through the School for Body-Mind Centering, is ABT teacher certified, and holds an MFA in Dance from Hollins University. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa.

Ms. Juleen has taught extensively across the San Francisco Bay Area including the company and schools associated with ODC Dance Company, Oakland Ballet Company, and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet. She served as the Artistic Director for Berkeley Ballet Theater, was a full-time professor at San Jose State University and adjunct professor at Saint Mary’s College, and Hollins University. Her approach to teaching and choreography is greatly influenced by alternative studies of experiential anatomy and she is a certified Somatic Movement Educator through the School for Body-Mind Centering. Somatic approaches to movement exploration allow her to enrich her teaching of traditional ballet technique with a contemporary sense of authentic expression and kinesthetic development.

Born in Beijing on a crisp September day in 1980, Sky Tan began her journey to become a classical pianist at the age of 5 growing up in close proximity to the Heavenly Temple during a time of rapid change in China. Throughout her adolescence and during her time spent studying at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music she was under the tutelage of many instructors but one, Dr. Alexander Goncharov stood out in her mind and had a very strong influence on her current approach and undying passion for music.

She first became a ballet pianist in 2004 at the Beijing Dance Academy where she was able to hone her accompanist skills in accordance to the world of dance. In 2009 she took a much needed sabbatical and opened a small Inn in the mountains of Yunnan with her fiancé. In 2014 she relocated to the US and began her tenure as an accompanist at the San Francisco Ballet and Alonzo Kings Lines Ballet where she learned the art of improvisation and the important ability to “read a class." Sky has also released a number of albums ideal for training in classical ballet as well as a series of songs and reflections of her personal journeys throughout her life. Full of spirit and purpose, Sky strives to bring solace to people's lives through the international and original languages of song and dance.
